A Sarah and Jane First

Well, this is the first official entry of the Sarah and Jane blog!  Yeah!!!  I (Sarah) will be the main voice of this blog with my partner in crime, the other minion of Sarah and Jane, chiming in occasionally.  Sarah and Jane’s mission and drive and zeal and purpose and passion...is to sew!  From girl’s clothing to notebooks we simply are addicted to sewing.  This thirst for sewing is only kept saturated by our even bigger addiction to fabrics.  There are so many cute patterns and so many bolts of wonderful prints!  We must look at every one, feeling it folds and textures, and day-dream about what to make.  This fabric and sewing mania led us to create Sarah and Jane, much to our delight.  It transforms us from normal American citizens to we-can-do-anything-with-a-sewing-machine-duo.
This is me totally engulfed with Sarah and Jane luscious fabric!  Can you spell delicious?
Our new fabrics and new collections-yeah!

We started with summer twirly skirts, which can be found here.  And now, after drooling over more fabrics (especially Riley Blake...drool, slobber, drool) and feverishly sewing, my partner and I are now launching our fall collection.  Lift off!
  • We have constructed some corduroy skirts that are delectably soft just for school.
  •  We have sewn a gorgeous fall jumper from lots of autumn strips that look marvelous together!
  • We have made peasant tops and rumba pants and tunics and more cute shirred tops!  Now our only mission is to have our adorable model don our outfits and hopefully we can snap a few amazing pictures.  After that, they are off to the worldwide web...a.k.a....etsy.  This is our life, yes, it is crazy; but we love it!

Recently, our Miss Bingley Twirly Skirt was chosen for the Etsy Treasury!  Check it out here.  We feel extremely privileged to be honored in this way.  There will be many more blog entries to come so stay tuned.
